Unlike some other companies from whom I requested estimates, Bob came over to the house to view the site and discuss with us what we wanted the finished deck to look like. Since I had built my own deck at my previous home, Bob provided 3 estimates with various degrees of completeness and using different materials. Ultimately I decided, for the price, to have BTS do all the work so I could spend my summer enjoying rather than building my deck.

Once the contract was signed, BTS showed up promptly on the agreed upon day and in 4-5 days the deck was complete. When the job was finished, they did a very thorough cleanup...including clearing some of my remodeling debris which needed to be removed. My wife was impressed with their promptness, friendliness, and consideration. My chocolate lab loved to supervise, and they didn't seem to mind.

I must admit I am impress with the quality of the craftsmanship. Being somewhat of a perfectionist, I have never paid a contractor to do what I could do myself, to my own level of satisfaction. I am determined to find something to complain about, but so far, having looked at the materials, construction, mitre joints, final sanding, etc. I'm still looking.

Over the next year or so there are several other projects with which I will need a contractor. BTS will definitely be given every consideration. I would highly recommend.

We have worked with BTS Contracting on a number of projects updating our home. Our first experience with BTS was 1 year ago. We wanted to update our first floor family room by removing paneling and wooden ceiling beams with a ceiling stucco finish. We also wanted to update and re-surface the existing fireplace. BTS came to our home and expertly removed the old materials (paneling, drywall, beams) the first day. Work continued daily until the job was finished (approximately 3 weeks). BTS also designed and built a custom mantle and hearth. We were so happy with the professionalism, attention to detail, and finish work that we asked them to do some finish work on our basement (re-design, drywall, lighting, shelving area). Based on our first project with them, we were not surprised at how well the basement/studio turned out. More recently, we asked BTS to fix some warped window sills. The wooden sills are 45 years old and the screens could no longer fit and attach. We thought we were going to have to replace our entire windows, but BTS assessed the situation and redesigned the window frame without removing the frame or window. We had 4 windows done, all now have screens, and we are confident in the work they did. We appreciate that BTS employees listen to what your needs are, and even your design suggestions, then incorporate everything together in the project. We will definitely look to do more wok with them in the future--great, great, great!

My husband and I renovate 3-4 houses per year, and most of the renovations are quite extensive. Bob Lally of BTS Contracting, Inc., was referred to me in 2006 when I was looking for a new general contractor, and he has been involved in every project we have done since then. He is particularly great with demo, structural, drywall, and general carpentry type of work.

Bob and his crew get in and get right to work. They are often working at the site without any supervision, and anytime I drop in unanncounced I always find them at work. He always talks to me as an equal, never treating me as "little lady" (I hate that!). Bob and his crew are very punctual - if he tells me he'll be on the job at 7:00 am, I can count on him being there at 6:59 am, and they always completed the job in progress before moving on to another.

Much of our work is done on properties built in the 1920's. As a result, we often encounter unexpected issues as we demo. And sometimes I simply change plans mid-stream as ideas come up. Bob has done a great job of adjusting to my changing whims as I go along. He also does a great job of communicating - problems they've found, status of the project, estimated time for completion, availability, needs for materials, etc.

I have always felt like Bob is fair about his charges and is trustworthy. In fact, I would have no hesitation to give him a key to my personal residence if we had a project there.
